I came across the You tube video yesterday and was inspired to hack together an HTML, JavaScript version.

Ideas for improvements though not yet implemented:

- Better look and feel.
- Two player games using web-sockets across the web to challenge other players.
- Possible AI player.

Developer

I emailed you back!  =^)

I've added an external linked version that provides the ability to play across the web in a two player game using web sockets.  By clicking each of the invite buttons, a URL opens for the respective player and game number.  Sharing these links appropriately will allow two players across the web to play against each other move by move.  I might continue to enhance as follows, but no guarantees.

Possible additions:

A game lobby / virtual waiting room hosted by the game server where players can gather before a game session begins. It allows them to:

  • Join or create a match

  • Wait for other players

    Other possibilities
: Coordinate with the other developers (https://itch.io/profile/sentinel65 and https://itch.io/profile/gelehaas) and provide all three implementations in one. ( AI mode, Froggy Mode, and Web Player game lobby mode ).  ( We'll see.  I'm also hacking together other quick concepts too, perhaps I'll slowly build an entire suite of these ideas with appropriate credits and links to the game inventors ).
