First Internal Build: Firing Range Protocol

Welcome to REDACTED: Bureau Protocol a fast-paced, round based FPS  game where you battle waves of the undead in high-security black sites, shadowy labs, and compromised facilities. Every 10 round "operation" is a fight to extract alive.

WHAT THIS BUILD IS:

This is the first internal testing build of REDACTED: Bureau Protocol. The goal here is mechanical integrity I am testing the bones of the game: movement, aiming, gunplay, round progression, and pickups.

There are no leveling, no meta systems, and no multiplayer this is a raw slice of gameplay meant to prove the loop feels fun and satisfying to survive.


FOCUS FOR THIS BUILD:

  • Combat feel: Are the weapons satisfying? Are headshots responsive?
  • Player feedback: Do you feel rewarded for surviving longer?
  • Perk clarity: Do power-ups make a meaningful difference without being overpowered?
  • Performance test: Targeting 60 FPS in a variety of combat states


NEXT STEPS:

In the next few updates, I’ll be focusing on:

  • Adding a second map: “Containment Bay”, with a more atmospheric and horror-driven layout
  • Implementing player XP and a basic level-up system
  • VEIL narrative documents to find during matches
  • More perks and environmental hazards
  • Start of alternate reality game integration (ARG layers in documents, videos, etc.)

Really cool UI and graphics, Been loving it until now
