[Free] Volunteer localization into several language for queer games

Hello there! We're Queer ThemAll!, a volunteer translation initiative meant to help LGBTQIA+ games and devs gain visibility internationally, while promoting localization to less common languages and helping new game translators get experience.

Last year, we worked on Forsythia Productions Confluence and Rocket Adrift’s Psychroma, bringing the former into Japanese and the latter into 16 languages.

This year, we're hoping to offer this opportunity to a free game, and to make it even more formative for all the amazing people involved. In other words, our team of volunteer translators is once again localizing a game for free during this pride month – and that game could be yours!

As a non-profit initiative, we do not have the same technical means as a big localization company. This is why we want to insist on the learning aspect of this project, both for devs and for translators. Everyone involved is dedicating some of their spare time to a cause:

We’re here to promote actual LGBTQIA+ representation in video games.

We’re here to help indie devs realize how important localization is for the player, and to learn how to implement it with freelance professionals rather than big data mastodons.

We’re here, and our stories are meant to be told. 🏳️‍🌈

If

  • you are an indie team/studio/dev;
  • your game features queer themes;
  • your game is free; and;
  • you understand this is a volunteer initiative;
