🎮 Devil’s Legacy – Team Expansion: We’re looking for 3D Artists! (Environments, Props, Characters)
Hey everyone,
My name is Szymon Pajonk, and I’m the creator and narrative director of a game currently in development called Devil’s Legacy — a narrative psychological horror built around exploration, symbolism, guilt, redemption, and the seven deadly sins.
We’ve been working hard on this project for the last few months and now that we’ve built a strong technical and design team, we’re officially opening up recruitment for talented 3D artists to help bring the game's atmosphere and vision to life.
🧠 What is Devil’s Legacy?
Devil’s Legacy is a story-rich, single-player psychological horror game, combining the emotional depth of games like Silent Hill 2, the symbolic immersion of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and the environmental storytelling of Layers of Fear. The game is structured into seven acts, each based on one of the seven deadly sins, framed within a dark biblical narrative, family tragedy, and inner descent into madness.
You’ll explore a massive ancestral estate, solving puzzles, uncovering hidden truths, and surviving encounters with demons — all of which reflect internal psychological torment rather than classic horror tropes.

We’ve made significant progress, including:

Now… we need visual artists to bring it all to life.
🎯 Who We’re Looking For (3D Artists)
We’re currently only recruiting:
🛠️ 3D Environment Artists

Gothic, moody interior/exterior spaces (manor rooms, crypts, forest paths, decaying architecture)
-
Realistic but stylized
-
Preferably with experience in modular workflows (walls, doors, furniture)
🗿 3D Prop Artists

Antique props, ritual objects, books, altars, furniture
-
Assets that support lore-heavy storytelling
-
Interest in psychological symbolism or religious iconography a bonus
🧍♂️ 3D Character Artists

Realistic characters with stylized psychological “twists” (e.g. corrupted or symbolic designs)

Ghosts, demons (representing sin), family members, spectral hallucinations
🎨 Visual Style

Semi-realistic with symbolic surrealism

Dark tones, dense atmosphere

Heavy use of lighting, shadow, fog, and storytelling-through-environment

Think: Hellblade, The Medium, Silent Hill, The Evil Within – with a gothic European touch
We also have visual references, concept moodboards, and early AI-generated mockups to communicate tone and design goals clearly.
📅 Project Scope
We're currently focusing on building a vertical slice / prologue demo, which includes:

Several explorable rooms in the estate

Full scripted intro sequence

Puzzle-based environment interaction

Cutscenes and transitions
-
First demonic encounter (Act 1: Pride)
This demo will be used for publisher pitching, crowdfunding campaigns, and community building.
We estimate the prologue will take 4–6 months to fully complete with a stable core team.
💸 Compensation / Revenue Plan
Currently, this is an unpaid collaboration — for the demo phase only. We’re transparent about it.
However, once the demo is complete, we’ll:

Pitch the full game to publishers / investors

Launch a crowdfunding campaign if needed

Move to a paid production model once funding is secured

Offer revenue shares and/or future positions based on early contributions
Everyone will of course be credited, and I’ll personally ensure visibility of each artist’s contributions (ArtStation, portfolio showcases, feature callouts in the game’s credits).

❤️ Final Thoughts
This project is deeply personal for me. It’s about redemption, legacy, trauma, and faith — themes that hit hard and mean a lot to many people, including myself. I want to make something emotionally powerful, visually memorable, and artistically meaningful.
