Problem with Weapon X

Hi,

I forgot to mention that in one of my plays yesterday (Colossus in Justice) I noticed that you can activate Weapon X (https://marvelcdb.com/card/35022) even if you have a tough status card. This should not be possible because taking damage is part of the cost and the tough card prevents it. It should not be possible to activate it. This is similar to something that I reported about (I think) What Doesn't Kill Me (it was possible to activate it even with just one sustained damage) and I think you have fixed for the next version.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @quantumodo,

Thank you for your report!

We tested card “35022” (Weapon X) in version 0.5.9.4. When your identity has a tough status card, the cost for triggering “35022” is not met, and its effect will not resolve.

We reviewed all files uploaded to our server in the last 24 hours. The only files containing “35022” in the player deck are “[0.5.9.4]-colossus-master_mold-(123)-(501300221).json” and “[0.5.9.4]-colossus-the_hood-(136)-(1709454897).json,” but neither of them reflects the situation you described.

If you have a specific save file or additional details that can help us reproduce the issue, please share them with us.

Regarding card “27016” (What Doesn’t Kill Me), the costs for triggering “27016” and “35022” are different.

Thank you again for your feedback!

Hi,

Thanks for looking into this. I do not mean that the effects should not be resolved. I mean that I think that the card should not be able to activate (exhaust and deal  damage) because the costs cannot be paid. But I am not completely sure and, anyway, it is not really important because it is just silly to do it :)

Hi @quantumodo,

Thank you for your clarification!

I understand your point about card activation. While the tough status card does prevent damage, it doesn’t stop the card from being activated. We aim to avoid limiting players’ ability to perform actions unless a specific rule dictates otherwise.

We appreciate your feedback, and if you have any more thoughts or questions, feel free to share!

OK, thanks!
