Like for example romanji for japanese or pinyin for chinese?

Developer

Hi there,

I have not even thought about this before, but this does sound like something worth investigating for sure. I don't know if there are any available tools/libraries that GameTranslate can implement and if they would be easy to implement. I will look into it. Thank you for the suggestion! :)

Hi again bud!

This piqued my interest, so I took a look at it today.

I've been able to convert Japanese translation to Romaji (and possibly Katakana & Hiragana & Kana (?)).

Bear in mind that I know nothing about Japanese. I do not know the correct format of things, and as I have understood there are different ways to write Romaji. Would the example above work for your uses? Welcome to any suggestions & facts about these systems.

I will need a day or two to properly implement this into the application. Note that this system will be able to support both translating from English to Japanese and then convert to Romaji, as well as just capturing Japanese text and convert it to Romaji.

Hopefully I can implement Pinyin soon too. :)

This looks super legit! Thanks for the quick implementation and looking forward to chinese support soon

Great! Sorry about the delay, had a PC upgrade today that did not go as planned. Will release the Romaji update first thing tomorrow morning. Pinyin should be fairly straightforward to add, but it may be postponed a while because I want to focus on adding a Desktop translation mode.

Now available in the latest version :)
