ive put 5 rocks in the water and checked literally from the bottom to the top which should have worked based off other versions but it didnt did it change

Rocks should not just be placed in water. The rock should float along the river to the very end of the map, then the rune will float downstream on the other side of the river

You'll have to carry the rock under the water with grab; they no longer float. In earlier versions of the game you could throw the rock while under water and it would float, but MrDrNose has since fixed that.

Youre gonna need a way to make the rock float down the river, id recommend balloons
