Android--Please allow the option to turn off automatic updates

I think this makes sense for a number of reasons, as I generally can't stand forced updates (especially on devices with limited storage). My personal gripe, aside from generally having conttol over my device, is that one of my games gives an error every time Mitch tries to update it. This means I get a notification for an error for the same game every time Mitch tries to update it, which is very annoying.

The updates aren’t forced and they’re not automatic, you may get a notification for an update but you need to manually confirm to download and install it. (At least, that’s how it works for now, I plan to add fully automatic updates as an optional feature at some point.)

As for the error notification, it’s better to try to fix it, so I’d like some more details about it if possible.

Ah, wait, you’re right, it is probably annoying to have to dismiss the notification every day if you don’t want the update. So I should probably add an ignore function after all.

Oh wow, thanks for the prompt reply & thanks for clarifying. The notification gave me the impression that Mitch would automatically be downloading the update if it wasn't causing an error. But yeah, the option to not automatically check for updates would be helpful for those of us who want the entire process to be manual.

Edit: The error says "An error occurred while checking updates". The error is for a game called cityglitch: https://mindfungus.itch.io/cityglitch

Just sent a bug report.
