Want to learn multiplayer?

I am looking for someone else who would be interested in learning the Steam Extensions online networking. I hate to do this sort of stuff alone, learning alone is not fun for me.

Personally, my involvement in GameMaker has had myself release 7 games at this point, all on Steam but none of which have online capabilities and I would like to change that.

There are a few ideas that I have in the direction of what game we could work towards, or you can bring your own ideas to the table but keep in mind I try to keep the scope to a doable state, and we are making something in a way that we have not done before.

I want to work with with someone who actually has the time to do this, as well as the want to do this, so please only contact me if these things apply.

Games take a minimum of 3 months to make if they are any good, usually 1 month gets a baseline project done. 3 months gets to an MVP.

If you are interested, please dm me. This is a project for those interested in sharing the outcome (revenue sharing), this is not me directly paying you as we are learning and working on a project together.

We will be using the Steam Extension: https://github.com/YoYoGames/GMEXT-Steamworks

No the irony of this post is not lost on me, in fact I would be open to learning just networking in general so I can ignore Steam and post on itch. We can try that too, but Steam has a lot of helpful capabilities that bring the overall cost of a lot of games down.
