ATV stuck outside of bounds

My ATV somehow teleported outside of the fence over on the southeast edge of the map by Victor. I noticed it was gone the day after an event at my base, but it's been over an in-game week now and nothing has happened. It's still just sitting over out of reach. I would really like to use it, it really sucks having to walk around on foot. I'm over 15 days into the game, and I don't want to start over. I have tried to "reset" the vehicle through the save menu, but it didn't budge from its spot. If this is an event, it's not a very fun one.

I am on 8.0e I believe. Does anyone have any advice?

There are multiple spots where you can sneak your way past the fence, either through the huge opening near Yankee(?), or the main gate (jump on one of the waist high poles on the ground, then jump on the security post roof, and drop off the side) or certain corners and walls of the map that have a slight opening near the divider of the fenceposts, you can mantle over those.

Also make sure you bring the ATV keys bro I swear to god they will save you. Once you get the ATV make your way back to where you left the fencing.

I successfully glitched over into the outer area with my hook and a tree. But it was still a huge pain getting to my ATV, which was somehow pushed completely up against the actual border of the game. Right next to the glimmering red magic "can't go anymore" wall. I have no idea how it got there. It was just there one morning. It was really annoying to get to, because the terrain out there was not made to be walked on. I didn't realize how impossible it would be to get the ATV back over the fence. I lost my hook on a hill pulling myself up to where my ATV was from my entrance point to the outer area, so I couldn't get back myself easily either. I walked all the way around the game area carrying my ATV (which had -341 damage?) and wound up back at the entrance gate. Now I had to get myself AND my ATV back on the proper side of the game boundary, without a hook. Since throwing the ATV back over the fence was impossible because of the invisible wall, I had to get tricky. I grabbed my ATV, climbed onto the yellow railing by the entrance building, and tried to push and turn the ATV over the barrier any way I could. It was not working. Instead, the ATV was getting wonky and glitchy and sorta stuck in the air. Luckily, I got the ATV turned so the seat was facing the direction I needed to go, and while it was glitchy in the air, I sat on the ATV and quickly dismounted again, and fell to the ground on the proper side of the gate. I made it over! Now just the ATV. I was able to grab it while it was still floating glitchy where I tried to push it over the railing, so I started to yank on it from the right side this time. I was basically trying to pull the ATV through the invisible wall that's specifically coded to not let things through. I had the "grab" command enabled on the ATV, and I wasn't letting go of it, and I just kept wiggling it around and backing up. Things got really crazy. It started banging all around, getting all jiggly and the damage sound effects sounded like bad EDM. Nothing was working, it was stuck. My food and sleep were getting close to the end, and my caffeinated chocolate bar I brought was long gone. I decided to walk back to base and collect myself, at least I knew where it was now. But I didn't let go of the ATV. I just kept walking away while it was banging behind me against the invisible wall, and after about 100 meters.....bang. Got it. Snapped right back to me. After what felt like hours of struggling, I made it back WITH my ATV. AHHHHH THAT WAS SO ANNOYING. :) Good thing I had already done my hashes and signals for the day. What a great game!

P.s. total damage to ATV after I got back to the garage: 21,720. Was very grateful the repair kit was a one-and-done and not incremental repair amounts upon use. Also, for some reason it's fuel was over 300?? How??

P.p.s. I am still unsure if this was part of an event, or a glitch? If it was an event, please delete it from the game. O_O

what is your reputation with the arirals if you're at that point in the game? cause it seems like something that could happen on low reputation

I don't know how to check, but I haven't done anything mean to them. And even if that's the case, i feel like putting my ATV in a location where i literally need to break the games code to get it back, is a bit extreme

in settings under the E tab there should be a setting that says "rep debug popup", after you enable it and hit apply you can enter "rep.debug" into the console and it should show your current reputation

I'm not gonna check. I am afraid of spoilers and imo if this is a bug it needs to be fixed and if its as intended, it also needs to be fixed lol. Thanks a lot for your help though I really appreciate it everyone this was so annoying. A lost hook and a day isn't so bad 馃榿

Did you have the parking brake enabled while it was in/near the base?? The physics in the game are pretty weird when you go to sleep and fast forward time, it's possible that it just caught collision somewhere and gained speed and just flew away. Same thing happens with Kerfurs but usually they clip underground/underneath the base.

Edit: You're also not even close to the day where an event occurs where that would be a possible thing that could happen (not intentionally, trust me it probably won't happen again) so I'll chalk it up to weird physics.
