It's turn based and inspired by Hoplite:
I created it for the GMTK jam, which had the theme, Built to Scale. I immediately thought of the old game, Snake. So many recent variants, like SNKRX, are skill based and require quick reflexes. That's fun, but I wanted something more tactical like, well, like Rogue. But a 4 day game jam is not the time for a deep and complex RL. So, I opted for a much more stripped down, minimal, lighter game.
Behold: Serpentine
(I couldn't decide on whether it looked better with or without the retro CRT look, so I made it optional.)
I aim to improve it post-jam, especially given the positive feedback it's already garnered.
