This game is very pretty and fun :]
The art is great, especially the intro cutscene with the zoom in on the knight's face. I adore the rendering with the outlines and the background, and I appreciate how it doesn't just get darker as the game goes on, but the hue shifts to create a new atmosphere!
The controls worked well, but the difficulty curve was a little strange, at least for my playthrough. It felt it felt almost impossible as I approached the halfway point of the game, and then the combo timing clicked in my brain and a breezed through a lot of the later levels. Though, I really like the level up system since it means almost everyone can complete the game eventually.
The sound effects and the animations make the game feel alive! The time you spent on the little touches really show.
