Hi, I started to create a thread on this asking for feedback, but I removed it before anyone responded because I felt the page wasn't quite ready yet, and I was still thinking things through on some things. But I feel that things are more sorted out now, and I am now back to ask a very specific question about this particular game. It's...
Is the price and the pricing model to my game good?
Here is the game in question, called Stepping Stone Jack: Director's Cut: https://themetalcarrotdev.itch.io/steppingstonejack
For some context, I will say that I want a lot of people to try my game, so I want to make it accessible. I want to make it where most people, if they really want to play the game, are still able to, and aren't too restricted by things like budget.
So I just wondered if you thought the price was fair for a game like this that has 40 short to moderately sized levels, and if, upon reading my intentions for the product here, if you think I went with the right model of pricing (ie, it being a paid game with a set price, rather than a Name Your Price game, or etc).
For some additional info, I've seen it take others about 60-70 minutes to complete the game. I myself can complete it faster, but as the developer, I think I have a bit of an advantage, where I can speed through it a bit faster. So if someone were to ask me about length of game, I'd probably tell them about 40-80 minutes?
When it comes to other suggestions on the page or the game, you can make them too if you want. However, some of the larger suggestions on large features I've already received, haven't been implemented just yet due to myself being a solo dev and some features taking a lot of time.
