So this is my game:
I've Got Some Balls (remake) by The Final Cut (itch.io)

Almost a week and still not indexed.
Yes, it's a remake of a 25 year old freeware game, but its made from scratch (except for some of the textures from the original).

In the README, the OG developer states that people can make whatever they want with his game, sell it, change it, etc. Am I breaking some rules here? Sorry in advance, in case I am missing something obvious.

I'm pasting the original README intro:

I've got some BALLS v1.02      (3D-engine v4.0)

(C) Sebastian Aaltonen 1999

-----------------------------------------------

This game is fully FREEWARE so you may copy it as much as

you want. The game is allowed to be distributed by all

distribution channels (like collection CDs, WWW-pages and BBS

etc.) without special authorization. Selfmade levels to the game

and other addons may be distributed freely as long as you

don't try to change the name of the author or try in any

other way to cause harm to author. If you make addons to

the game then remember also to mention that you have made them

yourself and they are not my productions. You are permitted

to make money with the game and it can be used for advertising

purposes, etc...

We ask that you don’t republish other people’s work unless you are the owner. Even if it’s something that is freely available. We intend to be a platform for creators to distribute their work, not a place for people to upload mirrors of freely available software.

Is this just a mirror of the original game or have you made meaningful additions and changes to the original software?

I have remade the whole game from scratch! The original game works only on Windows XP and Windows 98 and it is no longer distributed or supported. I've also made the source code freely available here: https://github.com/thefinalcutbg/IveGotSomeBalls

As you can see - this is my original work. Even if I am remaking an existing game, I've mentioned the creator of the original one. So you can see the idea is not mine, but the game is.

P.S. It really may sound confusing but the simple logic is:
1. I really wanted to play an old game, but it doesn't work on modern PC's
2. I've learned how to code, downloaded Godot and made the whole game myself from the ground up, only using some assets of the original one.

P.S.2 The description says "Remake of the freeware game from 1999 by Sebastian Aaltonen", by which I mean it is a remake of the 1999 game, which was made back then by a person, named Sebastian Aaltonen. I'm just mentioning the original creator of that old game. I am not him. I am a different person and I've remade his game from the ground up... I am beginning to wonder more and more how to explain it better, going down the spiral lol :D
