Jam calendar approval help

Hi there!

Despite waiting roughly a month and a half, a jam that our team is hosting still isn't appearing on the jam calendar. Does anyone have any insight as to why jams might not be approved?

For reference, we're a small team of gamedevs who host an annual jam called exprmt48. This will be the third year we've hosted this jam (with very similar rules, format, etc.). In past years, the jam has always been approved and added to the jam calendar within a few weeks or so.

So a bit over a month ago, we set up & published the submission page for the 2024 jam. We get a fair bit of folks join via the calendar, so we keep an eye out for when our jams appear there... but so far this year's jam has not. We're trying to figure out why, so that we can fix it. Any help is appreciated!

From what I've been able to read if the jam lasts more than 2 months it probably won't appear on the calendar because it takes up space. And also the mods have to review it before and approve it. Has your game jam been released yet?

The jam page has been published but it still hasn't been posted to the calendar, if that's what you mean by 'released'. And the jam only lasts 7 days, so I don't think that's the issue.

As explained in lots and lots of topics, including a recent one, not all jams are approved for the calendar, regardless of length. Please promote your jam through other means, just in case. Failing that, you can try to contact support.
