Can't use the TV (Linux) (Steam Deck)

The TV doesn't function correctly compared to Windows on Linux, After clicking play nothing happens and when you click play a second time it freezes the game and you'll have to quit and relaunch. I've already tried using Desktop Mode as sometimes modified local files don't work when in Gaming Mode which didn't work.

I've posted this on reddit already but I really want to find help so other Linux users don't have this problem. https://www.reddit.com/r/Voicesofthevoid/comments/1bfuasx/cant_use_the_tv_linux_steam_deck/

Yeah I've been having the same problem here too. Using it via proton on steam, and although everything else in the game works fine, the tv is the only thing that I haven't been able to figure out.

I've tried changing the proton version to Proton-Experimental and also using Steam Tinker Launch and changing it to ProtonGE but nothing has really helped with this.

Oh hey, update for anyone else looking at this: del found a solution!

In steam settings, add launch arguments and set it to:

WINE_DO_NOT_CREATE_DXGI_DEVICE_MANAGER=1 %command%

Still works perfectly in 0.8.0, thanks!

heyo! im also on a deck but cant get it to work, even with the launch augment. everytime i open the assets folder it opens some windows version of my file(the "online site" thats suppposed to be a terminal, opens as note pad). ive also tried MP4 files to no success!

any ideas?

I'm not entirely clear on what's happening, are you unable to find the right folder on your actual Linux directory structure or is it something else? My issue was that I could populate the folder just fine but nothing would actually play ingame. It is a bit of a maze to get to the actual folder though, and you need to enable Custom Content under the Game options first.
