Looking for Feedback for Flower Shop

Hey ~ just wondering if I can get some feedback on my game.

It's a small prototype:

I am trying to make a somewhat relaxing, chill game that me or others can play when they watch videos or want to relax. Not much commitment from their end. But just keeping their hands busy. A bit weird to say, but just an idea.

Questions I want to ask (answer any of them or none of them):

- Do you feel like the game is fun? If no, why not?

- Do you feel relaxed when playing the game? If no, why not?

- Would you play this game more if it had more content and progression? Or are you okay with randomized quests?

- What inclusions would you add to this game to make it more enticing?

- Any other feedback you have?

I gave this a try, and there isn't really enough here to even get a sense of what I'm supposed to do. I'm not quite sure what the genre is even supposed to be - is it a click and point? What is the core gameplay loop? Are the flowers supposed to be harvested on a time limit? Does something happen if I harvest enough flowers?

I'm sure you've got a cool idea in your head, but playing what you have I'm not even sure what that idea is - you only have a single sentence on your page, nor are there any in-game instructions or forms of exposition. "Orders Completed" exists without any context, and there is nothing else that indicates any sort of progression. What I would suggest is that you flesh out what you intend your game to be - this isn't a game so much as a prototype of a single gameplay mechanic. I can't really answer any of your other questions, because there's only enough content to play for maybe a minute at most.

Thanks for giving me feedback! It's definitely rough and I appreciate you still checking it out.  I'll address the lack of instruction in my next update.

Just for context, you are running a shop that grows flowers for customers for different occasions.

My current idea for the game is  making it incremental -- after you complete enough orders you'll rank up eventually.

Ranking up will give you:

- more orders you can do (which means more dialogue / plants to grow)

- unlocking different order types (i.e. completing an order in a short time,  choosing flower combinations to give to the customer)

Other than that I am still thinking more about fleshing it out. Just trying to keep it simple as I tend to go to wide too fast I feel.

Thanks again!

No problem - I wish you the best of luck in your development journey!

Hi! I tried the game out until I completed 8 orders. Here's my feedback on it:

1) I feel like maybe after the first 3 orders the game starts to get boring and repetitive a bit. Some of the customers are repeating too (I had 3 instances of the person who wants lavenders for their wife).

2) I did feel a bit relaxed while playing, yeah.

3) Yes I definitely think some sort of progression would work well with this game. I think a day to day thing would be cool to see, every day having 5-10 different people/scenarios. And as you said above, a ranking up system could work along with that.

4) Since different people request different flowers, it'd be nice to see the different flower icons next to the three actions you already have. Then you can click or drag the flower to make it appear on the soil. That way there's more interactivity. I'd also like to see a more visually appealing background or have some music/sound effects for the actions. Anyway these are just my suggestions, I hope you enjoy making the game however you'd like to :)

Thanks alot for the feedback!
