I wanted to post to announce the 0.8.0 update to the Scary Stories prototype, since the last post there have been a few changes so let's break it down...

Tutorial
Now, before you begin reading you must complete a tutorial given by the B̶o̷o̸k̷ ̸K̶e̷e̴p̴e̴r̷... This will show you the basics of how to play the game. before you begin your journey...
Progressive Stories
Some Stories now require that you complete others before beginning. This is best shown with the Tutorial as all Stories require the Tutorial to be complete but sometimes a Story may require that you complete another for keeping chronological order. Stories with more than 2 requirements will be hidden, once the reader has completed more Stories this story will be visible.
Inventory Menu
You can now click the Backpack icon/button on the screen (or press "Tab" or "I") to show your current inventory, this will display any items that you've picked up along your journey.
More!
Stories can now have Background banners! This will allow a visual "book cover" look to the Stories and although the artwork currently in the demo is hastily drawn I expect that in the next couple of updates, most Stories will have a banner image.
Visually, several improvements have been made to the fonts used, the transitions, scroll menus etc.
