Hello everyone, I am looking to collaborate with a programmer for about 3 - 5 months for the development of a prototype for a metroidvania, where I would like to show the character's skills along with 3 test boss battles.
I am a 2D animator and music producer so the only thing left for this to work, is some one with good programming skills.
Why i decided to do a videogame instead of a animated short film for my thesis?

The game is inspired by old games like Ghost and Goblins or games like hollow knight.
The playable character has among its mechanics:
Normal sword attack.
A dash with a rapier, which does damage when hitting something.
Quickly throw knives.
Throw torches.
Between the 3 battles.
Boss #1: A Rat King.
This fight is designed so that the player learns to use daggers and torches, since these are used to attack from a distance and/or scare away enemies.
Boss #2: Wrestling Wizard
This boss is designed so that the player can master the rapier, and learn to dodge and damage enemies with it. an important mobility tool.
Boss #3 Twin goblins
It is a battle inside a tavern with waves of enemies, perfect for applying everything learned in the two previous battles.
Game has an special Dread bar mechanic that make you flee the level is the character gets too scared (cuz he is a old clumsy knight) but this is not part of the prototype because gets to complicated in terms of gameplay.
Graphics are considered to be 2D hand drawn, specially cuz i am a 2D animator and as my thesis project i want to do a videogame prototype.
