Issues with General Launch and Alternate Download Mode

Casual player here: I've been having some issues with basic launches and with the alternate download mode and after being stumped for over an hour, I figured I'd just post something here for validation.

Before getting started, I should mention that this is for the game Buckshot Roulette specifically  - I only have one other game, and have had no issues there (the game is Clangen, if that matters), so I wanted to ask here before going to dev directly since I don't really have a way to prove that it's specific to Buckshot.

So I've been trying to launch and play Buckshot Roulette for a while now, and there's a bunch I have to say about it: the first and most frustrating part is that I can download and extract the game from the website just fine, but it refuses to launch - the same thing goes when I try to launch from the application. It basically launches for half a second and then the game closes. I then tried deleting and redownloading the game with the alternate download mode, and it wouldn't download at all.

I read up on everything about the recent CDN rollover and how it's blocked in some countries, and about an issue with file download corruption. But none of the solutions I found and tried seemed to work, unless I'm missing something.

Could this be related to the recent "download file corruption" thing that's been happening? Or does it sound like something related to my laptop or the game (aka something I should directly contact the dev about)?  Also, slightly unrelated, but is there a way to get around the CDN being blocked in certain countries, possibly with a VPN?

Apologies in advance if this should've been brought up straight to the dev, and a huge thanks for any help anyone can give me.

For help on a specific game, it is always best to check directly on that game's page.

What you describe does not seem to be an error in the download, but rather in the execution of the game, and from what I have read in other posts, this game only works with vulkan, if your GPU or your drivers do not support the vulkan version of that game, it will not be executed.

I have never seen the developer answer a single question here, but once he answered the moderator indicating that he did support his game (this forum had many posts from people requesting help for that game), so the best thing is Look for the contact information in the game or with the developer and ask for help that way.
