Hi,
we are the developers of There Was a Dream, published and downloadable from midnight today. The game is getting good visits and the first purchases have begun to arrive. We've opened a topic in the announcements section, written a post in our devlog and the game's page, in our opinion, is quite engaging. Do we have to do anything else to get into featured games or are the games chosen manually?

Game's page: https://keydare-project.itch.io/there-was-a-dream

Thanks in advance

They are hand-picked, see: https://itch.io/t/161841/how-do-you-get-to-the-front-page

For me your game shows up most of the time in the "On Sale" section of the front page, so at least that's something!

You really shouldn't expect to get a lot of traffic from Itch though, even if you do get on the front page. You gotta do your own marketing. Good luck!

Hi rossgrams,

I asked why I realized that many of the new top sellers are the same ones that are in "featured games". I just wanted to know if there were any parameters to respect, and from the post that you linked me I think there are all (cute page, 2 posts, one for the announcement and one for launch, 5 devlog, an additional update to the game released after 2 days, another arriving in the week). In addition, the game from launch is always in the top 10 on indiedb every day, so I thought there might be a chance here too. We will wait ... thanks for answering.
