Can't run the full version?

Hello, I can run the demo version of Freerider Recharged on Linux with no problem in the highest detail settings, but I just bought the full version and it's unplayable.

I can calibrate my controller, and everything runs smoothly until it loads the map. Then it's incredibly slow and sluggish even when the detail settings are set to low.

This happens in both the 32 and 64 bit versions. Any ideas as to what is going on?

Sounds strange. There's no difference in the full version really, except for the extra stuff that's included.

Do you have the performance problem with the demo level too (the desert) in the full version?

If I were you I would first try to restart my computer and see if that makes a difference.

Nope. No performance issues in the dessert on the demo version. Super smooth.

Restarting didn't help.

Also, I'm able to run the full version with highest details  on the same machine in Windows, just not in Linux.

Does that provide any more information?

Ok but if you run the desert level in the full version, does that have the performance issue?

I'm not a Linux user myself so I wouldn't really know how to begin examining it, but I presume there is some kind of CPU/GPU performance monitor included in your distribution that you might have a look at (while running the simulator) to see if you can find a clue as to what the bottleneck might be.
