There are several achievements that I unlocked, then went back to do again in iron man mode after learning what they are/how to get them. After finishing the unlock conditions in ironman though they don't look any different in the progress screen to tell me which ones I have in iron and which ones I have in standard, and I haven't gotten any more bonus points to spend on new characters.

Can achievements only be unlocked once and you just have to figure them out in ironman to get full credit? Am I doing something wrong? It's hard enough trying to unlock them the first time with no hint beyond the title which is usually a pun more than an actual direction. I don't want to have to restart ironman a billion times to discover them all there.

You can unlock them in Ironman after unlocking them outside it and it will upgrade them - Ironman unlocked achievements have a + next to them and count for a full bonus point instead of half. Achievements won't unlock if you have cheat mode on.

Ah. I turned off all the general settings toggles (manual fail, skip checks and futa+. Which I believe were all on by default?) and speedran perfect toy again and now I see the +.

Edit: I turned them back on one by one and now I'm able to get the ironmode 'chieves with the same settings as before. I'm guessing there was just a bug somewhere that's been resolved. No idea how to replicate whatever that was.

Thanks for the response anyway. Prompted me to fiddle with the settings

Quetzal achievements were buggy for years. Others shouldn't be affected if no cheat mode is enabled.
