I have completed the new blade quest but it still appears in the quest log, but when I checked there was a new update about bugfixes I immediately downloaded and updated the file. The problem is, do these bugfixes apply before the quest starts or finishes? 

I didn't save before starting the new blade quest and after updating the file the quest is still considered unfinished. I don't want to restart the game from the beginning again because I've restarted once from the beginning due to a quest log bug that disappeared when opening the cg room☹️

Can this be solved by changing the questline variable so I do the quest again?

If it's just a visual bug and doesn't affect future quests then I'm fine with it😞

As stated in the post for update 23.11.23:

"- The quests "New Blade" and "Bow Maintenance" finish properly now. For anyone who finished either quest but has it still active in the quest log, you can use the sparkling book in your bedroom and select [Bug fixes] ->  "Fix quest log" to mark the quest as finished."

I checked and the quest was completed. Sorry I wasn't careful in checking the change log🙇
