Windows XP requirement

Hey,

A buddy of mine linked me Civvie11's video on this game because we both love a good boomer shooter

Does it actually run on Windows XP or was that just a joke? I saw in another thread it requires OpenAL and OpenGL (though which version wasn't specified)

I was gonna pick it up and try it on my old XP retro rig for laughs but I just wanted to verify if it's actually doable, and or what "era" of XP machine it expects

it's no joke, the minimal requirements are for my XP laptop I used for testing optimisations

you don't need to buy to test it: you can download the Demo and try it with that

Ooh, fair enough then.

XP covers a *wide* era of retro gaming though, I've seen people use it Pentium 3's and Voodoo chips right up through Core i7's with GTX 950's

What's the "expected" OpenGL version the engine is targeting? The GTX 7900 in my machine can do up to OpenGL 2.1 and Shader Model 3 which is pretty ancient

1.4 馃槈 my XP machine is one of these: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-Eee-PC-1000H.9685.0.html

(of course on this one I have to set the framerate to be 30-15 fps to be playable - hence the minimal requirement -
sounds like yours will do much better 馃槈 )

Apparently the GMA 950 only supports OpenGL 1.4! I'll have to get the retro PC up and running and take a swing at it on the weekend
