Hello, I'm making a horror game about a chocolate factory. The idea is that the factory made a new kind of chocolate that is extremely addictive, and as a result, the people who eat it have become warped messed up creatures. You're supposed to traverse through the factory while being weary of these monsters, your goal being to shut the factory down. There are going to be 3 sections in the factory, each of which have one monster you have to go against.

I have written a design doc, I just need help with level design. I've already gotten to work on some of the mechanics in the game, and will finish them soon. In the mean time, I'd like to discuss with someone what each section will be, what you have to do in them, etc. The levels will also have to incorporate different "horror points". These points are parts in the game that are meant to horrify the player, as they are supposed to interact with innocent monsters and do something they don't want to do in order to progress.

The components that would make up levels are things like doors, chocolate pumps, valves, levers, etc. I don't plan on this being a puzzle game, though a few puzzles here and there would add a nice touch.

My goal for this game is to make it very horrifying. I want the player to feel disgust, guilt, and fear. I also want the play time to be long, though it isn't exactly a priority as long as the game accomplishes the main goal. I think a perfect amount of play time would somewhere around the mark of 1 and a half hours. The other goal is to strike inspiration and awe into people, I want this game to be a game people consider awesome.

Hmm. Sounds like you're trying to make My Friendly Neighborhood by way of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I might be interested. Sent.
