RPG Paper Maker plugin help

Hey all! I'm in the process of making my first game and I'm using RPG Paper Maker. Would anyone with experience in making plugins for it be able to help me out? Mine is bugging out like crazy and I'm having a hard time tracking down why.

XD Makes sense. Actually, in messing around more I realized I was being dumb. Now the issue I'm having is how to affect the in-game variables with a plugin. I know I can make my own in the plugin, but I'd like to set them as standard to be used throughout.
