Layout bug: Allow stretching small images / GIFs horizontally in the screenshots sidebar

With some of my games where I use a GIF as auto-playing showcase of the gameplay in the screenshots section, the GIFs usually have a low resolution on purpose to save on bandwidth/file size. However, this means that the GIFs don't line up with higher-resolution screenshots in the sidebar:

It's even a bit worse (or more visible / happening more often) on Hi-DPI (Retina) displays.

Is there a way to make the GIF stretch horizontally (while keeping the aspect ratio)?
