The drug half of blessing II feels underwhelming,

Blessing a bloodshot eyes drug increases the duration but not the attribute increase. Since the lascivicious coating drug does go from +10 to +15 mdef, the +100% should be a +150% for the sake of internal consistency. Same thing presumably applies to the + variants but blessing drugs seems more of a pure run type of thing.

Blessed blue sugar+ appears to be identical to its non-blessed counterpart. No use case.

With how much time and money it costs to learn blessing I and II, it would be nice if blessed drugs got a buff. For example if they didn't increase addiction past II,  or if blessed consumables didn't increase corruption(or if it affected permanent stat changes, but that's probably best left for blessing III)

Somewhat unrelated, but blessing apples when you have 99 blessed apples leaves you with less apples, less mana, and 99 blessed apples. Making it a fancy way to delete apples.

Dunno where pure runs are getting that kind of money to begin with, honestly, even pure runs that sell all star metals to the store struggle with cash. Aside from massively reduced income, the alchemist costs almost twice as much, they never get any Trademond discounts, etc. Pure runs outside of ng+ can't even realistically get through Belphegor to even get to main cathedral, as without lascivious's sensitivity magic defense you straight up can't handle their magic damage without radiance. Lascivious might be increased from 10 to 15 but how does blessed lascivious affect the sensitivity magic defense increases?

Point I'm trying to make there is they both have multiple 'effects' so to speak. Bloodshot eyes is stats + duration, but lascivious is base magic defense, sensitivity magic defense, and magic defense boost while committing lewd actions while coated.

The sensitivity mdef increase is a permanent stat boost so I presume it would remain unaffected the same way blessed vitality potions and blessed sweet memory drugs don't give additional max hp.

I rely heavily on working at the blacksmith, delay the festival of greed to turn more hp into perika into purification, and use star knightess to kill Belphegor.

High alchemist prices are a big reason for pure Aura to take drugs since coatings and mana stones tend to tear into your budget otherwise.

The blacksmith is your primary source of income during pure runs, and workshop salary outpaces vendoring star metal after 38 workdays, so it tends to break even around the time you kill the demon generals. Vendoring is more a thing for pink runs since you can work at the brothel and extort farmers.

Edit:

And blessed vitality potions give +150 health, +5 max health and -10 willpower to the unblessed +100 health, +5 max health, and -20 willpower.  The rule is 'no permanent stat boosts.' Not 'no multiple effects.'

Just tested on a 4 sensitivity Aura. No coating proficiency means +14 mdef with regular lascivious and +19 mdef with blessed lascivious. Which is inconsistent since the +50% from coating proficiency does bump these to +21 and +29 respectively(probably order of operations with traits applying to the sum total but still).

Mountainreach has a 10k gold reward. - ???? what

star knightess to kill Belphegor.  - if you HAVE to use star knightess there's a balance problem

High alchemist prices are a big reason for pure Aura to take drugs - taking drugs in a pure run is frankly ludicrous, especially with the corruption gain that outpaces blessed waters.

The blacksmith is your primary source of income during pure runs, and workshop salary outpaces vendoring star metal after 38 workdays, - If you're working in the workshop that much, I have no clue how a pure run intends to beat Sathanas or Belphegor pre-100/80 without star knightess, besides, that's PER metal, and an absolutely insane amount of time to spend in the workshop. That counter effectively resets with each new metal you get.

extort farmers - genuinely no idea what you're talking about

Abusing purification during the festival can make the festival of greed net-negative on corruption. Less corruption means you have more leeway when it comes to your blessed water and drugs situation. Blue sugar+ means you don't have to spend as much gold and ether at the alchemist, which in turn lets you spend ether instead of gold to learn fire/wind slime and/or skip out on some Nephlune ether restocks.

Post-festival after you use your remaining days before withdrawal hits to win duels and stat-check the bridge bandits is a good time to spend at the blacksmith to grind your health back up. Withdrawal II turns into addiction II and back into withdrawal II, so taking drugs once withdrawal III fades into II creates a good window to kill some more bosses before addiction becomes withdrawal again. Drug addiction is not that dissimilar from managing daily willpower loss, with an addict's blue sugar+ being like a curse victim's blessed water.

There is an theoretical route through which you can do a no-sk Belphegor and Sathanas before their timers and that's fine. I prefer to just star knightess those assholes precisely so I have more wiggle room to take advantage of the blacksmith salary during pure runs. But while I'll agree that 38 workdays is a long time to break even(AuraDev, buff to +25 per star metal please), you should absolutely have the time to break even if you burn for purification during the festival.

Once you unlock vice on your pink run, the save the crops quest gives you the option to demand daily payments from the Riverflow farmers by threatening to withhold the only way to save their livelihood if they don't agree with your demand. This is a form of extortion.

If you delay the festival that much you really have to crunch post-festival content in order to manage 80/100 days. That aside, a post-30 day festival feels bad considering the reduced gold reward from the bragging merchant as he becomes devastated merchant etc, but again, you're talking about 38 work days PER metal, which means every new metal resets that clock you're talking about. At best I'll concede giving the first 5 to the merchant for +Exp then selling the next 6, because the verdeaux staff is not worth the price. And working in the workshop 38 times takes 76 days minimum by itself lol. Also there's plenty of ethers in the game to use them for slime morphs regardless.

Didn't know that about the farmers on corruption runs, I've always completed the quest before vice is available and there isn't exactly some big secret catalogue to read. I'm convinced there's a lot more stuff like that, or even chests I don't know about. I *accidentally* clicked on the mana stone chest behind the shaman king boss fight with paul without ever seeing it. I was completely surprised that I had opened a chest. That said, I've never needed the farmer money on corruption runs, because you get so much of it anyway, both through discount conservation and lewd actions, as well as other stat-increasing efficient actions like lewd books.

Regarding star metals, I'd prefer that certain breakpoints increase the health gain. +3 becomes more and more insignificant and any pure run I've played without drugs has really struggled to break 250/300 health for rampage 2 and tenacity 2.

Dunno what theoretical route you're talking about, but nothing should demand that kind of semi-perfection so to speak that even a player with 70+ magic defense and nearly 300 health cannot defeat the boss. I genuinely do not know where you're getting more magic defense from barring a few extra points from inzectoid armours that do NOT mitigate their damage enough, and if you use all your magic defense materials on Aura, even a bloodshot slime is never staying alive in this fight. The only way to survive is bloodshot eyes. Lewd runs have lascivious sensitivity defenses to trivialize the fight, but pure runs have no such option.

The fight is problematic for pure runs.

None of which are my own complaints. I think the fact I can source multiple people calling out this issue over such a long period of time on a niche porn game should speak to something. The magic damage is simply un-counterplayable for purity runs. You could TRY the phantom lord rune for a measly ten turns of defense, but that means beating phantom lord pre-radiance (skipping the light sensitive compendium entry and I believe gaining more corruption from the fight), and getting all the materials (or ambushing it) in that domain requires something silly like 35+ agility which is a bunch of time spent on a stat you otherwise really don't need to be too high.

The star metal that gets sold on day 1 does not have its clock reset. It will break even in 38 workdays whether you sell more star metal afterwards or not, any workdays over 38 on the early star metals help balance out shortfalls that come with not vendoring your later star metals. In my experience, the current amount of star metal can break even before the end of the demon general timer if you plan to mine them early, leaving you with a profit for the untimed content like the behemoth or Mount Firestorm. Level 10 Trademond workshop is still worth pursuing for the ally exp and will probably become more practical as new content gets released.

Half of those 76 days can be used to buy/learn upgrades/skills, and it nets you 114 max hp in the process. Depending on how much health you manage to burn at the festival, that's up to eight blessed waters worth of invest:purification that you've managed to crawl back from, effectively giving you an extra 16 days before soul break, or two extra uses of star knightess.

Verdeaux workshop level 1 also unlocks a 1200 gold +2 def and a 1600 gold +2 mdef, which is competitive with buying a scorpio claw from the restocking vendor. Decent for one of the late star metals, like the one behind the hydra(assuming you didn't new game+ the bubble to star knightess that one). The artifact it unlocks... maybe on runs where you don't have to buy church skills.

I don't use rampage or tenacity II much these days. Too much multi-hit bullshit at the later stages and too high enemy defenses on nightmare means a glass cannon Aura + slime tank build feels less reliable than opting for a +2 attack or +2 defense to stat check your enemies instead. Which is part of the reason why I recommend burning a lot of max hp during the festival after you unlock starshine.

The farmer thing is mentioned on the wiki and its linked pink run walkthrough. It's not really a secret. Doesn't give a lot per day, but it can reduce the number of times you work at the brothel.

Bloodshot eyes can be a decent substitute for radiance I or star knightess during the Belphegor fight but again:

Disregard cacophony,

Demolish collar.
