Indie Game Marketing | Free Consultation for your Project

Hullo!

I've been frequenting the itch boards and Discord channels here for a little while now, and see a very specific question cropping up fairly regularly. These generally ask words to the effect of: "how do I get more  views/downloads/attention for my game?".

I'm not claiming to be any sort of indie-dev guru here (Headspun is my first game as an indie developer, and there's a lot I'm still to learn), but my day job is in AAA Global Brand Management for a major games publisher, and having worked in the industry for over a decade (in game journalism, community and PR over the years, too) I've absorbed a few best practices along the way.

I'd like to help people out, where possible, and in any free time I have while I'm not finishing my own game (which isn't much, I'l admit), I'd like to offer some free consultation for your game/project. I can offer feedback and give a bit of a steer on:

  • Key art / logo and other brand assets
  • Store pages and the importance language plays in your game's brand
  • Trailer and marketing videos
  • PR & Influencer strategies

Basically anything outside of development itself (which I'm still learning myself!).

I can't promise to find time for everything, but if a project looks interesting or catches my eye, I'll help where I can. If this is of interest to you, please drop a line to consultation@superstring.studio with a link to your project and any specific questions you might have.

Thanks!

Jamin

It is really nice seeing someone like you would like to help out! We are a group of students and are really passionate in making games (as well as playing).

Let me know if you would like to give some advice and comment and critiques on our game - CAGE, a 3D adventure puzzle game, featuring the old Hong Kong and the disappeared area - the Kowloon Walled City, which had also been covered several times by the local press media.

Drop me a line at the email provided and we can pick the conversation up there.
