Game not Indexed

I received an email saying my game  was published on itch.io on 21st February, game page is up and public,  but it's still not indexed. I read the  docs about possible index issues, and   I saw that new developers can take longer to review but that's not my case,   this is my second paid game. Wondering if there's any other issue?

Sometimes a paid game, or even a free game, is placed in the review queue even if it's not your first. Please wait until Monday just in case.

Still nothing... Can you please check what's going on? Thanks

It probably got stuck in the queue. I gave it a bump.

Seems that your bump put the game   like it was indexed 2 weeks ago. Finally showed up today   on general search,   but    13 pages down when using the newest adult games tag. Is this some glitch?

No, your game gets places at the top of new releases when you make it public. That's why you need to make sure it's ready first.

My game has been public and accessible through direct link since the day   I  got notification from Itchio saying it was   published (21st February). Only yesterday it did showed up doing a search, but  way deep down on the newest releases, like it has been there already for +2 weeks, which was not the case, it has never been on top of the list, that's why I'm asking if there was a glitch.

That's because a game is considered new from the moment it's published, not the moment it's indexed. There's no glitch.

So if a game gets stuck on the review queue longer than usual (not dev's fault) you're in for bad luck, and window  of opportunity to show at top of newest games is gone for good. Thanks for the explanation.

Not necessarily. You can also try to make a devlog marked Major Update or Launch at the first opportunity. You should also advertise your game outside itch.io anyway. And the official social media accounts will often boost a good-looking game if you ping them.

I have exactly the same issue, after two weeks my new game still isn't indexed.

IMHO if this is normal, there should be a warning in Getting indexed on Search & Browse that getting indexed might take so long and not just a few business days.

I gave your game a bump too. Next time, please make your own topic, because it's all too easy to miss when you reply to someone else's.

Sorry to bother you, but I have exactly the same problem. Could you hel me? I published my game 5 days ago... Thank you in advance

Do you mean the one game page that's set to restricted access?

It was for the paid version of my game, which is now visible in the results. Apparently I just had to wait. Thanks anyway if you did something. Maybe for this kind of game it takes more time. I got an answer from the support without any further details. Thank you.

My game is not indexed too. I fullfilled all meta and read the article about indexing.

But I forgot to write it in my own topic :(

So please make a new topic, and include this information. Also a link, because you have a whole bunch of games.

I am also waiting for my program Account Container to be indexed, it has been two weeks since I published it as of around 5:00PM yesterday.

Okay, I gave it a bump. Next time, please make your own topic, like I wrote just three messages above.

Sorry about that 😅
