Why is it that I’m unable to save my game for the Mac version?

Is the game in a "write-protected" (="read only") folder location on your system, or on a USB-stick?

Have you unpacked the game files from the .zip?

Do you get an error message?

yes I unpacked the game files from the .zip. I do recall getting weird error while going into options, that being “EROFS: read-only file system”

That's exactly the problem I talked about with a "read-only" folder location. The system does not allow the game to create save or config files in that location. Either change the folder settings or move the game to a location that isn't write-protected.

Okay that is good to know, but I have question: How do I remove write-protection?

You should probably ask google that. I don't own a Mac myself, and it might differ depending on what mac you have.

Have you searched for "remove folder protection mac" or something like that? I see several articles when I google this which might help, but I can't tell what fits or works for your situation, that's why you have to check yourself.

Else, you could try to move the entire game folder to a different location. The desktop or similar, or any folder which isn't set to "read-only".

Okay I was able to figure it out, but it keeps on saying that it is in a read-only system. Also I don’t know what places in my Mac that isn’t write-protected.
