Ever heard of hnefatafl?
Wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't. Hnefatafl is an ancient Scandinavian board game, played by Vikings. Vikings Hnefatafl: Kings of the Dark Age is a turn-based strategy game loosely based on this board game.
In Vikings: Hnefatafl, you will try and capture the enemy King with your pieces (called 'units' in-game) while trying to protect your own King from the enemy pieces. Vikings: Hnefatafl will include:
- Custom battles against AI (two-player mode also planned)
- various random-generated maps and different types of Terrain that will give buffs and debuffs to pieces
- small Campaign detailing Viking invasions of England
- three difficulty levels
The game will release on Q1 2023.
