I remember posting about this awhile ago but i couldn't keep up with the post for personal reasons.

I'm still having the same issue as about a year ago, i'm unable to to download the game on the itch.io app, it comes back with an error that reads something like  "cannot download 'build' or undefined".

if i try downloading the game on the itch.io website it gives me a single file with no clear way to open it. it just suggests some apps i could use to see the file, which isn't very helpful.

i'm using the windows 11 OS if that helps, on a device that can run the 'callisto protocol' on medium-high performance, so i don't think it's my specs but hopefully it helps define the issue.

same issue here, Arch linux. I reported it in the bug report thread stickied by the devs. I’d reply with a comment there about this.

been experiencing the same problem for months now only way for me to get a working version is donating money every few months to get the patreon version.
