Ah! So you didn't finish the event and returned later to continue it. That's okay then. I thought you finished the event and were able to do it all more than once.
The "village" with hellhounds is in the volcano in Amagal. If you saw Hellhound somewhere you can't reach, than that's usually just her stalking you or doing other silly things. It happens several times in different locations.
