A way to enable no sandbox mode in config?

For several months now, I've found that itch wouldn't run at all (I'm on Arch Linux). It just started a large white window and then crashed without any helpful error message. After spending some time googling I found someone with a similar problem tried launching with the --no-sandbox switch. I gave this a go and itch launches without problems now,

Unfortunately, however, I now have to run the app with this switch every time and I wondered if I could simply edit a config file somewhere and set it so that --no-sandbox is automatic? I've looked through all the config files I can find - including Preferences and preferences.json, but I could find any reference to sandboxing.

I suppose I could simply edit the .desktop file, but I'd rather do it "in app" if there's a way?

Thanks in advance.
