got a diff antivirus and now the app doesnt work

like the title says, i got a new antivirus which the firewall has the app alllowed, but the app doesnt work, it says "theres a problem during setup, timed out while connecting to butlerd. antivirus software may intefere with itch"

but the firewall has the app allowed so idk why its not working all of a sudden

You almost definitely configured your firewall incorrectly to allow itch to operate. The itch app uses multiple processes and connections so, depending on your antivirus software, it may not be obvious how to unblock it correctly.

TBH, nothing different has changed but this morning i turned on my pc and opened the itch app and it works. so i guess it just needed a good restart
