Hey ho hello! I’m back with the second devlog for Warrior Academy! I’ll admit I didn’t think I would finish this one on time, but I managed to do it! Before I start I just thought I’d mention my new twitter account for UnoWayGames. You can check it out here: https://twitter.com/UnoWayGames I’ll occasionally post a development update there! And don’t forget to support the game here https://unowaygames.itch.io/

Also, sorry for the terrible quality gifs, I assure you the game looks and runs alot better then it looks in the gifs. I promise they’ll be better next time!

Now, back to the devlog.

-1 Inventory

The inventory can be accessed by clicking the button in the bottom right corner There you will able to setup and save loadouts. Pretty cool, right!?

-2 Loadouts

Loadouts are a set of items in the hotbar.

Once you create a loadout and start a level, all the items in the loadout will be put in your hotbar.

You’ll be able to save up to 4 loadouts, but don’t worry, if you ever want to create more, you’ll be able to replace old loadouts with new ones!

Here’s how you create a new loadout:

-3 Sections

Yes that is only 18 slots in the inventory, and yes there is more!

The inventory has 10 sections each containing 18 slots. Different sections can be accessed either by clicking the arrow buttons:

Or by choosing a one from the dropdown menu:

(The dropdown menu doesn’t actually do anything yet, BUT it will!)

-4 3D item viewer

You may have noticed the window on the right side of the inventory which displays the items you hover over. There is also a panel that pops out of the right side of the screen which displays the stats for that item!

There are still many improvements to be made, such as a description for the items, and a counter in the slots to display how many items they contain.

So that’s about it for this weeks devlog. Next week won’t be as big an update, but I do plan to make the first official weapon for the game!

So be sure to follow the development and leave a like! and thanks to everyone who’s tuned in so far.

Game on!
