I'd buy this and GMS if it works well.

If you mean the GMS1 version, there’s not much to break it - GMS1 itself hasn’t been updated since 2018.

I continued to update the extension for a little while, but maintaining two versions of the extension at once isn’t all that fun (not very fun at all) and neither is coming up for workarounds for increasingly exotic GMS1 issues, so I stopped in 2020.

The GMS1 version supports all of the main features (code reloading, sprite reloading, room reloading) so it’s still handy - you can compare the two to see what was added later (GMS1, GMS2).

GM2022 version was updated earlier this week.

Just want to add that overall it works better than a third party implementation of this kind of thing has any rights to and I've found it personally invaluable. (latest version GMS2.3+ user for a couple of years now)
