Stuck on "Loading game for the first time..."

I uploaded an HTML file of my TWINE game, and it's been stuck in this state for a number of days.

I see there are other topics about this issue but I couldn't find a way to resolve it myself. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just published it. Still have the same issue but you should be able to see it now.

Right. Make sure there's an index.html in the archive that the itch.io server can find.

Thank you! The directions specified that there needed to be a index.html if you upload a zip file, but didn't point out the same requirement for direct html uploads. Hence my confusion.
