How Practical is Orcblood?

As a noob, I only recently discovered that races were anything more than aesthetic, and at a glance, Orcblood seems pretty busted.  Three free stat points is a juicy offer.  Only thing holding me back is, of course, the high metabolism penalty.

I'm curious about how much that actually hurts in the mid-late game.  I run 6 Perception anyways for the Trudy encounter, so Food Cashes aren't very hard to find, but early game, the Inn is a simple and effective means of getting loads of food.  If you've run an Orcblood, how much would you say the metabolism penalty complicated your run?

I'd say I wouldn't take Trudy and Kylira with me in this run. They can make you starve if you're unlucky on food sources. (Note that Urka and Warlock don't require food.)

Otherwise, it's basically the race I always choose now. I just buy food to have it around 400. Of course after I buy all the necessary equipment and have money to spare.

I never bring Kylira anyways cuz I can't be asked to push Charisma to five.

Though Trudy is damn useful  during the Werewolf quest.

Orcblood is the easiest way to go level 1 to beat the demon king with full virginity. I have done it with all races and it doesnt matter too much, but the food never stopped me. I just kept on moving. Going as enchanter or wizard with mountain man is the hardest, but you try and build it with high agility and strength. Also you would need a few perk points for it to make it easier. The food problem is not big at all. Just play it the way you want. I use the demon king to farm food if I really want to use a character I made for a long time(you can save file edit but that is just lame). I often get both trudy and kylira because I like the companions and the kylira health boost is nice if you are playing mountain man enchantress. The food isn't a problem, just play the game the way you find fun. Reliable ways to get food are  from the towns and dryads early game, and from the travelling merchant, harpies, and ettin late game. The least important stat is magic right now, because it was nerfed into the ground with paralyze not being useful for anything and the boss fights having such high magic resistance. I wish the paralyze would be unnerfed because if you want to play a spell casting class, you end up just playing a worse warrior.
