Plain SITE or SIGHT

For a game based on puzzles, it is quite disappointing to see the clue referred to as the password being hidden in PLAIN SIGHT and also PLAIN SITE

Well which is it? If one is true, it implies the other is a stupid careless spelling mistake.
But if the other is true, it implies the clue isn't even revealed in some information.
?

And while we're at it, where do you unlock the investigation tracker? There are various places you could input a password, and it isn't really clear which one it is.

Hello! It is indeed a "stupid careless spelling mistake" - apologies. There is A LOT of text in Acolyte, and there are typos and spelling mistakes still to be purged.

This has been fixed to "in plain sight" in game now, which will be rolled out in a new Itch build very shortly. I hope you're still able to find the password and get into the Tracker... (which is accessed by a new tab at the bottom right of the nav-menu at bottom of screen)

Ah ok no worries.

So it is the "debug area | admin only" menu we are trying to unlock then? Because it is kinda of implied, but not totally clear.

There are also locked files in the game directory, and it's also implied it's in there.

Ok, if anyone else is looking, DO NOT look at the nanomax website for this.

that is a complete and annoying red herring from ana.

Also don't look in the actual file directory on your computer. You'll just find stuff that you're probably not meant to see until later. There's a simple substitution cipher in there, and a locked file.

You need to find the password in plain sight and use it to unlock the tab on the bottom right of the app (says debug)

Sorry to bother you, but I need some more help. Is the password in the email inbox? I've tried many things from there and all I got was incorrect.

Not directly. Its obvious when you see it

I wouldn't be asking for help if it was obvious to me, would I? Does it have to do with how Deep Thought's profile picture in Contacts is Jennifer Khan's, or is it another red herring? Am I looking in the wrong place again by looking in Contacts?

i can't give you more help without saying follow the link to the video in deep throats email and you'll see the password written in plain sight on the computer screen

Helllo! There's some refinement still  to do to ensure puzzle answers are sign-posted correctly, but I'm removing posts that straight up post the answers in the comments here. Thanks!
