Some models I made

Hello! Hope you’re all doing well - I’ve been working tirelessly over the last few weeks to put together a passion project on my own. I have a lot of experience as a composer and sound designer for both film and game, but have never taken the role of programmer or modeller so directly before - (though I have done a little animation work) - I decided to teach myself blueprint to make progress on a simple Legacy of Kain inspired hack and slash set in a world I’ve worked on for many years now.

I’m at a point now where I want to revamp what I’ve done so far and refine the foundations of the project. When I started; I was simply working step by step to see what I could do if I modelled for, animated and programmed the game myself. I’m proud of my progress but moving forward I would really like to find at least one other individual who could help me on the project - preferably someone with experience and a passion for what made old games great.

I have been posting short simple dev diaries like the one I linked here; so if you felt like checking it out, that would be a good example of my progress. My plan right now is to take a huge step back, re-evaluate, redesign and refine my ideas from the ground up using what I’ve learned to establish a much stronger design with the help of a second programmer.

While I’ve been really enjoying modelling and animating for the project - I also recognise that it would be way better to get an additional artist to help focus on one of those aspects as well.

Overall there’s a lot id love to share with prospective colleagues if anyone is interested but as a brief overview I really only want to make a few levels and set my sights relatively small to recreate the kind of ingenious simplicity and aesthetic of early video games.

If any of this sounds interesting please do get in touch (My contact details are here) and share with me some of your experience and a little about yourself. The number one thing I want is to help build a nice friendship and work together to create a simplistic game that we both enjoy.
