How To Use Meta Data To Restrict Release Until Release Date?

According to itch.io help files:

"There’s one more way to restrict access to your project page: setting a future release date. In the Metadata → Release info section of your project in your dashboard you can provide a release date.

When that date is set in the future then no one will be allowed to buy or download your project until the date has elapsed. Your project page will list how much time is left until the files are made available."

But that doesn't seem to be happening. Am I doing something wrong? I want it to auto-release on the date and time set, and that's what this seems to be saying it does. But instead, it just releases the game.

Which game? It may be showing released to you - but I can only see the game you created in August.

If you did that on a game that is already released, it probably won't work. But if you released a new game, that feature is working, I cannot see any new game on your profile page.

What itch.io shows the developer is different from what itch.io shows to the general public.  They allow you to see the full page and share a link if you want with people.

OK never mind I figured it out. You have to click the link that says "configure settings" to set it to not show up or to not be downloadable.
