I am currently translating this game into Japanese to play with my friends.

I am not sure what some of the items are from their names.

Sharp Walking Tusk = something like a cane or ice axe?

Pack Snail = packed snails?

Beetle Lantern = beetle-shaped lantern?

How should these be interpreted?

Sharp Walking Tusk= A tusk from an animal like a walrus, elephant, narwhal, or some imaginary creature.

Pack Snail= like a packhorse but a snail.  A giant snail that can carry equipment in packs.

Beetle Lantern=  A lantern made from beetle shell,  or maybe a glowing beetle in a glass jar.  It is open to interpretation.

I generally let the players define things that I have left vague.

Thanks for the hint to let the players define. English is a second language for me (and my group) and some words were unclear or harder to find and it really helped a lot.

Oh!Thank you for your support!

I agree with you.

I will try to translate in a way that leaves room for imagination.
