After completing my first game jam I have decided to take on a game with a little more direction. This blog is about the ideas I've come up with and the concept art I've created

The story: The hero's journey to becoming a warrior between a kingdom divided by civil war. This is more of place holder but thats the general idea I'm going for its going to be a beat em up rpg game set in the viking era story is just not something I want for this game to be centered around.

The plan and lay out of the game:

Man setup for animation in blender. This was tough because the drawing has a lot of curves

Set up a rig this  method works like a charm.

still  a bit janky but I think I got the concept down. Animation is something I just started 2 weeks ago so I haven't had the time to get good. Going to make him close fisted

square fists animation looped

Progress still have a lot of cleaning up to do in gimp because the mesh buckled

baby steps clean up the mesh and imported it image. Something went wrong when I cropped  to content in gimp so I will be redoing the photo retouch part again with double the frames and no cropping.

fixed run animation , doubled the frames and not cropping did the trick. Think I'm going to add black lines to conceal the mis matched pixels on the shoulder or figure out some way to hide it even if it wont be visible in the actual game. Now for the female Character.

after spending the better part of the day tryna fix the shoulder i've given up its now just a qerk of the animation.

I reduced the jitter in the shoulder

got the female animated today.
