CONTROLLER CONFIG FOR STEAM - PLEASE READ!

Hello gamers, I have made a controller configuration to try and emulate more closely to Bloodborne on PS4.

In order to use this, you will need to add the game to your steam library. To do this, go to "Games" (at the top) > "Add a non-Steam Product" > Locate the game with the browse function, and select the .exe within the game's folder. I suggest copy and pasting the entire BBPSX folder into your steam apps common folder. (more advanced)

After you have added the game (not 100% sure if this is necessary, but I would just do it to make sure it works) rename the game in your library to Bloodborne (PSX).

After the rename, simply paste this: steam://controllerconfig/bloodborne%20%28psx%29/2739692712 into your browser or command line and it will pop up with a configuration PREVIEW window. Make sure to add the configuration. -- This is also available through the community configs in the controller menu as well.

If this gets more attention and people start using it, I will add pictures to help with installation, but overall it's very simple.

CONTROLS BREAKDOWN 1.2
Left Analog stick = emulated D-PAD with 8 directions. This makes movement significantly more fluid.
Right Analog stick = (mainly L/R movement) will simulate pressing L/R triggers for camera.
R3/ Right Analog stick click = lock on.
D-PAD = Up / Down will use your quick select item. Left / Right will toggle through items. (only one direction, sorry!)
L3/ Left Analog stick click (double click) = while running (L analog + B) double click L3 to jump

Because of the analog stick overriding the D-pad, and the d-pad being used for something else entirely Menus need to be navigated with the analog stick. If there is another way to work around this I'll try to find it.

Face buttons are largely unchanged because I mapped the controller inputs to emulate pressing some of these buttons.

Could you please elaborate on how to add the configuration to steam?

Yes,
Option 1) Windows key + R (run command) then paste the "steam://" file above. Press run. This will pull steam up and launch the controller configuration with my config.
Option 2) Paste into an internet browser (similar to run command), and have the link be opened with the Steam application (Firefox will allow you to do this, and I'm sure Chrome will too)
Option 3) After renaming your game to Bloodborne (PSX), you can find my configuration under the "Community" tab.

All of these methods still need you to click: Apply configuration

tysm for setting up the config and typing up such clear steps! i was able to get my switch pro controller working in minutes w this guide <3

for those that may come after, to fix the pro controller swapping buttons:
steam > settings > controller > general controller settings untick: "use nintendo button layout"

Awesome! Glad you got it working for your Pro Controller!
