Version Playable on Pocket?

I'd love a physical copy of the game (just found out I missed the recent run), but all I've got is the version I bought on Itch.

Would it be possible to include a copy of Deadeus in the Pocket format?

Same question here. Would love to play this on my Pocket. As far as my noob brain understands this, there should be a way to (simply?) export the project into a .pocket file with GB Studio, right..?

as long as you have access to the project files such as the .json or .gbaproj, then its just a matter of exporting it to pocket using GBstudio 3.0 or higher

I thought about that, too. Unfortunately those files are not included as far as I can see it (I bought the special edition).

Bought the same edition. Those files aren't included. However, for what it's worth, Izma did just Tweet (@iwazaru91) that they've been inundated with questions about a Pocket formatted version of Deadeus. They said Deadeus was built using GBStudio 1 and Pocket requires a conversion to GBStudio 3...the latter of which breaks the game engine. They added that until they get a Pocket of their own, they won't be able to test it properly. So, I suppose we wait.

Thanks for the heads up! That sounds indeed way more complicated than I thought. Fingers crossed he鈥檒l get his hands on a Pocket soon and that it鈥檚 not too much of a hassle to make that jump from GBStudio 1 to 3.0 (although it sounds a lot like it actually is)… 馃

Good news, everyone! This should make it playable on the pocket: https://github.com/jduckett95/misc-pocket-patches/blob/main/README.md

Hey all!

Sorry I have been away in the states and havent been checking in here! as @horntm mentioned here in the replies, its definitely on the cards but I cant work on it until I have a pocket of my own to test the build of as the conversion from GBS1 > GBS2 > GBS3 > .Pocket currently completely breaks the game. Its not as simple a procedure as I had hoped!

Its been cool to see people jump on converting the current file and I have no problem with it but I will be working on a legit version when I can. Who knows, this might all lead to a bit of a Deadeus DX kind of deal too as GBS3 would allow me to do that.

Sounds awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer here. I鈥檓 patiently looking forward to what鈥檚 to come! :)

Thanks, Izma! Keep up the awesome work.

Hello,

I just have released a patched version of GB Studio 1.2.2 that is able to export the game as a pocket game.
https://github.com/BestPig/gb-studio/releases/tag/v1.2.2-1-analogue

So you should be able to port officially the game on Analogue Pocket without the pain of migrating it to a higher version of GB Studio.
Let me know if you encountered any problem with it, I just have tested it with the default project.

Hey Izma... any news on the update to GB3 project (the official update) ? Hope that could be achieved one day. Best of luck
