Hello everyone,

We are new to using itch.IO and were wondering how the "update" function works on this website? of if it has one. 

or if it is only possible to release a game once and then it is "update locked" meaning in order to "update" you would have to upload a whole new project, which by extension means the player can't use the saves from the old build in the new build. Effectively resetting the player data each update.

You can replace your files with new ones any time. And save file compatibility depends on you, it's not handled through the site API unless you involve it somehow.
