[REV-SHARE ONLY!]
For several months I've been working on a Unity codebase in my spare time. Here's a WIP showcasing what I've done so far.

It might not look like much, but it's early, and there's actually a lot to unpack. I've achieved the following:
- Silky-smooth and fully-customizable 3rd person camera.
- Walk/run animations and blending between them and their cardinal directions.
- The start of a functional menu system
- Weapon firing with proper raycasting and proper bullet events so that things in the game can receive gunshots, along with WIP effects such as muzzle flash and bullet hole decals.
- Basic patrolling enemy AI and enemy suspicion/vision system.
- Proper Game managers and proper debugging features.
- Some common art assets such as models and textures that I've made myself (please forgive the quality, I'm currently learning art).
I've done this all myself, and while it's been a solo endeavor, I've really enjoyed it and am not going to stop any time soon. I'd like to find an artist who feels the same way; as in, someone who enjoys creating the art and is therefore self-motivated and interested in helping on something like this and doesn't need any cheerleading to work on a project. BTW, I'm over 30, I work with Unity professionally (for medical research, not games, but still...), and I'm serious about it. Just a couple of guidelines for anyone who might want to join:
- You need to be interested in creating for a survival horror aesthetic. If you're mainly interested in other genres and think that you might lose interest quickly, it's probably not a good idea to join this one.
- I'm not handling this project like most people do; I'm instead taking it one step at a time, which means currently I'm only thinking about achieving what's called a "vertical slice". I'm basically trying to make a couple of hallways, and a few rooms, and get them to achieve the look/feel that I'm going for before thinking about anything else. It should be an interesting endeavor no matter what happens.
- Because I'm taking it one step at a time, that means I won't be able to be extremely "managerial". You'll need to be able to come up with assets to populate the environment with without a lot of hand-holding. We'll talk about aesthetics, and I can give you a basic synopsis of what I'm going for of course. I'm fairly flexible, so as long as the assets look good, they can likely get used. I also won't be pursuing a proper "team" until I've achieved a vertical slice that I'm proud of.
- I'm mainly interested in 3d artists, but if you do other things like UI, textures, animation, concept art, or effects and you're definitely interested in this sort of project, I would be interested in talking to you.
Thanks guys.
